Glycomics Institute of Alberta

Funding for Speakers

GIA provides matched funding to invite speakers in the established seminar series at the University of Alberta who incorporate glycosylation into their research.

Grant Opportunities

GIA connects members with grant opportunities that provide funding for training and research in glycosciences. See below for some awards that are currently available.

How can GIA benefit you?

We’re making sure the University of Alberta remains at the forefront of glycoscience by supporting submissions of large collaborative grants involving our members. This serves to bring focus to local investigators, advance the field, and foster impactful discoveries right here at home.

GIA is also spurring new partnerships by providing a conduit for training and interactions among faculty engaged in glycosylation research. Interactions between GIA and other institutes also serve to enrich the programs currently on offer at the University of Alberta.
