Funding for Speakers
GIA provides matched funding to invite speakers in the established seminar series at the University of Alberta who incorporate glycosylation into their research.
Grant Opportunities
GIA connects members with grant opportunities that provide funding for training and research in glycosciences. See below for some awards that are currently available.
How can GIA benefit you?
We’re making sure the University of Alberta remains at the forefront of glycoscience by supporting submissions of large collaborative grants featuring University of Alberta researchers. This brings focus to local investigators and the research being conducted right here at home. We connect GIA’s members with assets and funding opportunities related to glycosylation research.
GIA is also spurring new partnerships by providing a conduit for training and interactions among faculty engaged in glyco-related research. Interactions between GIA and other institutes also serve to enrich the programs currently on offer at the University of Alberta.
